One sales bottleneck keeps repeating. Follow-up lives in memory. On our own launch, we researched forty-eight businesses, built forty-eight CRM-ready records and prepared forty-eight tailored drafts. Nothing sent automatically.

First, define the fit: sector, location, size, useful signals and exclusions. Research each business, record its public source, and hold uncertain fits. No purchased contact list. Put the reason, contact route, owner and next action in a CRM-ready record. Draft the first message from checked facts.

A person approves, edits or holds it. Nothing sends merely because AI prepared it. We can manage the workflow, share approvals, or build and hand over an eligible version. No bulk sending. Not a promise of meetings, customers or revenue. Bring one sales bottleneck. Book a free fifteen-minute call.

Three everyday examples

Start with one part of the business that needs improving.

We improve one clearly defined business process at a time. Everyone can see what starts it, who is responsible, what happens if information is missing and when a person must approve the result.

01

Starting new work

Turn an accepted enquiry or order into a clear next action with one person responsible.

Starts when
new work is accepted
You get
a responsible person and dated next step
02

Chasing missing information

Show what is missing and who needs to act before a deadline is at risk.

Starts when
required information is missing
You get
complete information or a clear follow-up
03

Managing a shared inbox

Assign every incoming request to the right person and keep the decision visible.

Starts when
a request enters the shared inbox
You get
a responsible person, priority and response

Likely fit

  • One recurring process crosses people, inboxes or systems.
  • One person can be responsible for the decision.
  • Delay, chasing or rework can be described and measured.
  • You are open to using a feature you already own, making a small change—or not building anything.

Not this service

  • Regulated decisions, professional judgement or advisory work.
  • An open-ended “automate anything” service or unlimited support.
  • Guaranteed results, or software making important decisions with no named person responsible.
  • A request without a responsible person, agreed scope or clear decision.

Match a problem to my business

Build around the work—not a software fashion

Turn one useful improvement into a wider business system.

Once the first improvement works, we can connect more tasks, people and software. The proposal explains who will deliver it, what access is needed, how it will be tested and what support is included.

01

Customer and staff processes

Improve customer enquiries, onboarding, handovers, shared inboxes, CRM follow-ups, approvals and missing-information chasing.

02

Dashboards and management views

Bring reports, overdue work, recurring decisions and the next actions into one clear screen for the people who need them.

03

AI assistants and communications

Help your team find approved information, draft useful responses and pass uncertain or important decisions to a person.

These are examples, not claims about past client results. An AI assistant, portal, CRM improvement or management dashboard may be the right delivery method; we decide that only after understanding the work that needs to improve.

From time-wasting work to practical improvement

Choose the simplest practical way to improve one part of the business.

You do not need to choose the technology. Tell us what wastes time, causes delays or gets overlooked. We check the tools you already use and choose a clearer process, useful automation, focused AI or a build—then expand only after it works.

Work out the right fix · Workflow Decision

We examine one clearly defined part of the business, check what your current software can already do and give you a written decision—clarify the process, use what you have, automate, use focused AI, build or stop.

  • A simple map of the task, delays and missing information
  • A check of the software you already own
  • A written recommendation and a workload estimate based clearly on your figures and assumptions, normally within five working days of complete inputs

After the first improvementWider systems and support are quoted separately.

Wider systems and ongoing support are quoted properly.

By written proposal—not a vague standard package

If you need more processes, a portal, a management view or ongoing support, the proposal names the work, people, access, tests, service limits, supplier costs and price before you decide.

Discuss a larger or ongoing need →
Price, VAT and third-party-cost details

The £950 and £3,950 fixed prices apply only to the work described on their service pages. They are separate services; the Workflow Decision is not a deposit and is not deducted from later work. Client licences, AI or connected-software usage, hosting, telephony and all other third-party costs, plus travel and subsistence, are separate unless the signed proposal says otherwise.

All prices are in pounds sterling. Alternate Machines Ltd is not VAT registered, so VAT is not charged. Payment dates appear on each service page and in your proposal. Software subscriptions, supplier charges, travel and expenses are extra unless your proposal says otherwise. If our VAT status changes, we will update this page and explain the tax before sending an invoice.

Read six common questions
What happens in the free 15-minute call?

Tell us which part of the business wastes time, causes delays or gets overlooked. We will check whether it is a fit and choose the sensible route: a clearer process, useful automation, focused AI, a direct quote for the £3,950 build, or the £950 Workflow Decision when the right fix needs investigation first. Do not share customer records. The call is not a free process review or consulting session.

What does the £950 Workflow Decision produce?

You receive a simple map of one task, where it gets stuck, who is responsible and what happens when information is missing. We also check your existing software, estimate the workload using your figures and give you a written recommendation.

What if our existing software already does this?

That can be the best answer. We check whether a feature you already own or a small process change solves the problem before recommending a build. We will say so if nothing should be built.

What fits the £3,950 Controlled Workflow Build?

We build one clearly defined improvement across up to two named software systems or accounts your organisation controls, provided the supplier supports the required connection. Your team tests it against written checks, then receives an operating guide and handover. The detailed scope, staged payments and timing are explained on the Controlled Workflow Build page.

Who will do the work?

Alternate Machines remains responsible for the engagement. Before accepting it, we confirm the delivery lead, any specialists, continuity cover and permitted access. Your proposal names who is responsible for each part and how issues are escalated.

Can an accepted build grow into a larger portal or AI system?

Yes. Once the first improvement works, a separate proposal can cover connected processes, internal portals, management views, AI assistants or communications. It will name the people, systems, access, tests, support and costs before work begins.
