£950 fixed-price decision for one part of the business
Find the simplest fix before paying for a build.
Show us one clearly defined job or process. We check where time is lost, what your existing software can do and whether the best answer is a clearer process, useful automation, focused AI, a build or no change.
One part of the business · your team approves important decisions · written instructions included
At a glance
What to know before you decide.
- £950 fixed price, paid in advance, to review one suitable, clearly defined process.
- One 90-minute online working session with the person who knows the process and up to two other people from your team.
- A written process map and clear recommendation, normally within five working days after we receive everything needed. No obligation to buy a build.
- If the task is already clear and fits the £3,950 build limits, we may quote that build directly. You do not have to buy this service first.
What you receive
What you receive for £950.
By the end, you can see what is going wrong, whether software you already pay for can solve it and what the sensible next step is. Even when nothing needs to be built, you keep the map, estimate and written recommendation.
01How the work runs today
We show what starts the work, who handles each step, where it gets stuck and what happens when information is missing.
↗02Can your existing software fix it?
We check the software you already use and look for a simple process change before recommending something built specially for you.
↗03What a better process could look like
A simple preview shows how the work could start, who checks it, what happens when something is missing and who approves the result. Nothing is connected to your live systems at this stage.
↗04Time-and-effort estimate
We use your figures to estimate the current workload and show every assumption. It is an estimate, not a promised saving.
↗05Clear next-step recommendation
You receive a written recommendation: use what you have, make a small change, build the agreed improvement or stop. There is no obligation to buy a build.
↗ What is included
One process, clearly defined.
£950 is paid in advance to review one suitable, clearly defined business process. Software licences, AI usage, travel, expenses and other supplier costs are separate unless a signed proposal includes them.
Included
- One 90-minute online working session with the person who knows the process and up to two other people from your team.
- A map of one agreed process, including what happens when required information is missing.
- A check of whether your current software or a small process change can solve the problem.
- One suggested way to measure whether the change helps, including where the number will come from. The Workflow Decision does not assess your current performance.
- A time-and-effort estimate using your figures, with every assumption shown—not a promised saving.
- A written recommendation, normally within five working days after the required information is supplied.
- If an agreed item is missing, Alternate Machines corrects it at no extra charge before the Workflow Decision is closed.
Requires a separate agreement
- No automatic purchase of a larger implementation.
- This service does not provide professional advice or carry out work that must remain with your qualified adviser.
- No unlimited automation platform or unlimited support.
- We do not build or connect anything to your live software in the Workflow Decision. Training and wider redesign need a separate quote.
- Travel, software licences, AI usage and other supplier costs are separate unless a signed proposal includes them.
- Anything beyond the one agreed process needs a separate written proposal.
The free correction covers an item that was agreed but accidentally omitted. It does not cover new requirements, changed requirements or missing information from the client. The Workflow Decision fee stands on its own because the process map, software check and recommendation remain useful whether the answer is build, make a small change or do not build. It is not a deposit and is not deducted from later work. A £3,950 build can follow this decision when the task fits the published limits, or it can follow another written plan that covers the same process map, software checks, missing or unusual information, success measures, access and test requirements.
