Built and tested
How the site is made easier to use.
Automated checks help, but they do not replace keyboard, screen-reader, zoom and real-device review.
Navigation
Pages use a clear heading order, labelled page areas, a skip link and a visible marker showing which item has keyboard focus. The mobile menu returns to its button when it closes.
Motion
The guided example respects your device’s reduced-motion setting. Its short animated transition is removed when reduced motion is requested.
Responsive use
Desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile layouts are checked separately. A page that forces sideways scrolling does not pass the launch test.
Conversational demo
The guided example labels each speaker and uses ordinary form controls. On mobile, Chat, Work and Record are separate views. Responses appear as complete blocks instead of typing one character at a time.
Feedback
If something is difficult to use, email hello@alternatemachines.co.uk and include the page, device and problem if you can.
